ACCESSIBILITY (ADA)

ELIGIBILITY FOR ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES

Desert Rodeo’s Accessibility team is committed to offering support and services to attendees with valid accessibility needs. Misrepresentation or false claims of a disability to obtain accommodations is strictly prohibited. Our team has limited resources and prioritizes ensuring assistance is available to those who genuinely require it.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Designated ADA parking spaces will be available. A valid state-issued ADA placard or license plate is required to access these areas. Parking is complimentary for all guests, including ADA parking.

ACCESSIBLE PATHWAYS

Our festival grounds include accessible pathways and ramps to ensure mobility across all event areas, including activations, retail spaces, and viewing zones. While some areas are on natural terrain, we strive to make all paths navigable.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Reserved accessible seating will be available at the rodeo arena. Spaces will be provided for guests using mobility devices, along with companion seating.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Desert Rodeo welcomes trained service animals that assist individuals with disabilities. Please note that pets, emotional support animals, therapy animals and companion animals are not permitted on festival grounds.

Guidelines for Service Animals:

  • The handler is responsible for any damage or injury caused by their service animal.
  • All animals must have up-to-date vaccinations as required by law.
  • Service animals must remain with their handler at all times and be properly harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If such devices interfere with the animal’s work or the handler’s disability prevents their use, the handler must maintain control of the animal through voice commands, signals, or other effective means.
  • Service animals must be housebroken. Designated relief areas will be available on-site.
  • Only legitimate service animals that are trained to assist with a disability will be allowed entry.
  • Service animals must receive a service animal credential at one of our Accessibility Services Hubs upon arrival.
RESTROOMS

Accessible restroom facilities will be located throughout the event grounds.

CONCESSIONS

All concession stands are wheelchair accessible and located throughout the venue. If you require assistance, please ask a staff member for support.

MEDICATIONS & DIETARY NEEDS

Medications:

All prescription medications must be in their original container with a label matching your government-issued ID. Please bring only the amount needed for the duration of the event. For clearance, ask for a staff member to connect you with the medical team at entry.

Dietary Needs:

Gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available at festival food vendors. If you have additional dietary restrictions or require specific accommodations, please email us at ada@desertrodeo.com.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Medical tents staffed with trained professionals will be located on-site for any health-related needs. If you or someone in your party requires assistance, please locate the nearest medical tent or ask a staff member for help.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

In the event of an emergency, information will be shared through:

  • Announcements over the festival’s public address system.
  • Video screens throughout the festival grounds.

If you see something concerning or require immediate assistance, please flag down a staff member or visit the nearest Accessibility Services Hub.

ADA ASSISTANCE

Our on-site ADA team is available to assist guests with disabilities. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions during the event, please visit the designated ADA assistance booth.

COMMUNICATION NEEDS

If you require ASL interpretation or other communication accommodations, please contact us at ada@desertrodeo.com at least 30 days before the event so we can make the necessary arrangements.

The deadline for Desert Rodeo 2025 is March 26, 2025.

MOBILITY DEVICES

Personal mobility devices such as wheelchairs, scooters and walkers are permitted for guests with disabilities. Motorized scooters and wheelchairs are also welcome. For safety reasons, skateboards, bicycles and other recreational devices are not permitted.

PROHIBITED DEVICES

Devices such as hoverboards, Segways, and personal transportation vehicles are not permitted unless they are being used as mobility aids for individuals with disabilities.
